Tigard Purim Celebration

Join the Tigard Jewish community in celebrating the holiday of Purim! Tuesday Evening, Mar 10th, 2020 at 5:00 PM.  

Purim is a fun and meaningful Jewish holiday enjoyed by all ages. The jolly festival is celebrated every year on the 14th of the Hebrew month of Adar, this year, Mar 9th - 10th. It commemorates the salvation of the Jewish people in ancient Persia from Haman’s plot to annihilate all the Jews in a single day, as recorded in the book of Esther.

Here is what you can expect.  

Great food: It’s a Mitzvah to have a festive meal and enjoy it with family and friends on Purim

Megillah reading: We will read from a traditional Megillah scroll, accompanied by a visual Purim story! 

Enjoy live music: Celebrate and sing along Jewish and Purim favorites with our Pianist.

Masquerade: Come dressed up in a silly hat or full-on costume! Add to the Purim cheer! 

Fun for the kids: Purim craft, Jumping Castle, treats and more for all our little friends to join in celebrating.
