Privacy
Tigard Chabad Jewish Center runs this website. This page says what it collects, why, and who helps us look after it.
What we collect
When you RSVP, register, order, donate, join the mailing list or write to us, we keep the details you enter: your name, email, phone, address, guests and answers. They are seen only by Tigard Chabad Jewish Center's own staff, and used to look after you and our community: to confirm what you signed up for, send a receipt, and keep in touch.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number never reaches us.
We email you about what you signed up for, and our newsletter if you joined it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Your account
If you sign in to an account on this site, a cookie keeps you signed in. You can see and update what we hold about you there.
Cookies and visits
This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. We count visits to our pages without following you from site to site. Videos play through YouTube's and Vimeo's privacy-enhanced players.
Who helps us run this site
This site is built on Chabad Website, which stores our records on our behalf. It uses Cloudflare (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email) and Anthropic (AI). Each handles your information under its own terms; Stripe, for example, also uses payment details to prevent fraud.
Where AI is used
Our staff may ask an assistant questions about our own records. We send AI only what a task needs, and Anthropic does not train AI models on it. If our staff connect another AI app to our records, such as ChatGPT or Claude, that app handles what it reads under the terms of our account with it.
A message you send through our contact form may be checked for spam. If we already know you, it is never checked; otherwise it is read by AI only when it looks like a sales pitch. If something is confidential, you are always welcome to call us instead.
