Tigard Chabad is part of the worldwide organization of Chabad-Lubavitch, under the leadership and guidance of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson.
The Rebbe keenly understands that our every action is part of a bigger picture. Every good deed we do brings humanity closer to the ultimate goal, the era of cosmic perfection and universal awareness of G‑d, known in Judaism as the time of Moshiach.
The Rebbe would speak tirelessly about this time, demonstrating how the world is heading closer and closer to this special era and how every person can actualize it by increasing in acts of goodness and kindness.
Our Mission

Rabbi Menachem and Chaya Orenstein hail from large cities with kosher amenities and flourishing Jewish communities.
Through their years of Jewish outreach and Shlichus as students and young adults, they were empowered to make a positive impact.
With their welcoming smiles and non-judgmental approach, they aim to create a vibrant Jewish community in Tigard OR.
The Orensteins make a powerful team and hope to bring the warmth of Judaism to the families and friends around them.
Together with their young children Boruch and Yosef Yitzchak, they hope to transform Tigard and be an integral part of instilling Jewish pride in every Jewish soul they encounter.
